February camp done and it’s almost the end of the season. This camp, I had a good few weeks of training, where we managed to get in all 3 disciplines and an Austrian GS race. We don’t get that many opportunities to race in the Austrian series, but when we do it’s a really good way of getting in to the practise race environment. After training for a couple of weeks it was then time to go to Bormio. I was excited for Bormio, as there is always really good feedback from it. The races didn’t go as well as I was hoping they would, but I know where I went wrong and I’m ready to get back out training this weekend to practice my weaknesses. However, my favourite race was definitely the SG. It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone was in a great mood and raring to race. On my first run I went really wide around the gates and my run felt so slow. When I got to the bottom I was disappointed in how slow my time was. Luckily the snow held up well and we were able to ski the second run on the same course, so I went for it and managed to knock off 5 seconds off of my time, which I was really proud of. The British race is coming up soon and I’m excited to get back into training, so that I can hopefully get some better results on this seasons last race.
